New Apple Trees
We noticed this morning that one of the two apple trees we planted has sprouted a single blossom on top. There’s two of them next to each other, I think the other one will sprout some leaves soon too. It’s good to see they’ve taken to the new location, though I don’t think we’ll get much fruit off them this year.
Here’s Lana with one of the apple trees (well, apple stick at this stage):
And here’s a close-up of the top of the stick with the blossom and leaves delicately balanced on top:
And here’s an even closer shot of the blossom:
Whenever we’re out in the garden Bugalugs likes to join us and watch what we’re doing. He’s usually in an excitable mood and today he decided to teach Lana’s sandals a lesson.
While I had the camera out I managed to capture this tiny, tiny spider on a head of lavender. The lavender head itself is only about 2cm long, the spider’s body is only about 1-2mm long. They must be some small flies that it eats.
