Port Barrel
Lana’s present to me for our first wedding anniversary was this most excellent port barrel:
She knows me so well! It’s 10 litres, at the moment I’ve got about 8 litres of port in there and a litre of brandy. It’s only been in there for a couple of weeks, but I just had a little snifter and it tastes excellent — I can already taste the oaking.
Hopefully it’s big enough that we won’t be able to drain it all in one night the next time my sisters are around for dinner.
