Changing Jobs Again

So in May last year I left Motorola, and then in November last year I left ISS. It’s been 9 months now, so it must be time to hop jobs again.

The work at the old job was really interesting and satisfying, but the size of the company meant I wasn’t really growing and learning. I’ve moved on to a bigger (300+ employees in Perth) company that will hopefully give me the same Business Analyst/CRM work that I enjoy so much, and also the opportunities to grow and learn from people smarter than me.

As a side benefit, it meant that I was between jobs while we were making Andie a part of our daily routine, so I was free of any thoughts about work. I didn’t have any projects hanging over my head or anything, so I was free to really immerse myself in family. I feel very lucky!

Are you aware that all jobs require you to do things you’d rather not do? That’s why they have to pay you.

Thats why theres life outside of work, where you get to do what you want. Most of the time the two don’t mix.

Are you aware that you quoted the middle panel of the second comic?

I was doing stuff I’d rather do at the old job, I just want to do it with more people. The new job should offer that.
